We thought we were closer to our destination, this hut settled in the Quebec Eastern Township forest. Doing a fat-bikejoring outing was a great way to share an adventure with our dogs.
The path taken until then was rather on hard snow, but we suddenly found ourselves in an area where we were definitely the first to venture since the last snowfall.
With our Husky, Loulou, and Rambo, our male Labrador, attached to the Chic-Chocs fatbikes, it was without too much effort that we cleared this zone. About 15cm of fresh snow was covering the ground, and that feeling of doing the first tracks is something special.
Anyone who travelled to a backcountry hut knows this feeling when you finally reach the destination. And we were lucky enough that day that someone was there just before us and had lit a fire we could enjoy.
