Long-time bikepacker, cycle adventurer, passionate photographer and storyteller, Megan grew up riding a single-speed on red dirt roads in outback Australia. She’s been living in the Canadian Rockies for over 15 years now, and gets out adventuring with her son as often as she manages solo epics.
She accidentally won her first bikepacking race (the now defunct Hurtn Albertn 500) in 2016, beating all of the guys, and decided bikepacking and gravel were just as much fun as mountain bike racing. Living so near the start line of the Tour Divide, it’s been on her to-do list for over a decade, maybe one day? But in the meantime she loves getting in as much bikepacking, gravel and exploring as possible, and inspiring others to get out and do the same – and hopefully even helping kick off some of the Bikepack Canada fun again.

Katahdin
Gravel BikesThe first generation of the Katahdin has proven itself both in races, gravel events and in bikepacking trips. For its second iteration, the Katahdin gets a makeover with progressive gravel geometry and new features to make it even more versatile. A relaxed 70deg steering angle, longer reach, 75mm bb drop and 430mm chainstays increase the wheelbase of the bike and place the rider in a stable and comfortable position. The goal is less fatigue, and more speed for long outings and / or races. The internal cables for an adjustable seat post, the fork adapted to the use of a dynamo hub, a threaded bottom bracket shell and all the mounts necessary to install bags and accessories are among the features of the Katahdin.
